Happy 4th

Sometimes I'm really thankful for the small town we live in. Especially on days like the 4th of July when it seems the entire town crowds down on to the main strip to watch the parade. And when these days are filled with warm weather and sunshine its even better. We had such a wonderful 4th... the only thing that could've made it better was having Brian home to celebrate it with us. And if I'd let the kid stay up late to go down and watch the fireworks. We started our day at the parade with friends Jen & Nikki. Meredith was SO excited about it all, and was really into waving her flag at all the passing cars and floats. She was waving her flag so fast and hard and we all got a really good laugh out of it.

After a quick lunch we came home for naptime and I got the house cleaned up a bit before people started coming over. We had just a very low-key bbq/potluck with mostly the squadron girls. Burgers, bloody marys & mojitos... what better way to spend a warm, sunny afternoon with friends?

Thank you to everyone who helped make this 4th a great one!
