A Day Upcountry

Upcountry Maui is one of my favorite places. You get to escape the heat of Lahaina and experience breathtaking views of the island. We have some wonderful family friends who live up in Kula, and I spent so much of my own childhood tromping around their property, getting dirty and enjoying being a kid. We went up and spent a day with them and Meredith could not have been happier. She loves anything outdoors and there was so much to explore at the Elkins' house. She started with a trip outside with Heather where she found a tomato plant and started picking the tomatoes and feeding them to the dogs! Then Meredith, Heather & Annie went for a hike around the property with the dogs in tow. We also picked flowers and spent just a little time inside enjoying good company.
